SARA CUTTING
STAGE 3 | TNBC
In Her Own Words…
I was diagnosed with TNBC at age 45. It literally ripped life as I knew it apart. Surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, a few bouts of sepsis and other infections, a broken business, and a relationship separation later — I was spat out the other side. Welcome to my post-cancer world and all its glorious and gory details.
Q&A

What has been the most challenging part of your journey?
The most challenging part of my journey was my total change of identity… physically, mentally, and emotionally. I had to rewrite my own script. I much prefer this version of myself.

What one thing you want all breast cancer patients to know?
Knowing it will pass. Your cancer is your cancer… love it in the way that feels best for you.

What is your superpower?
To keep on running. A bit like Forrest Gump — both physically and mentally.

What is your theme song?

What is your favorite movie?
Forrest Gump

What is your go-to snack?
Pretzels or Twiglets

What your spirit animal?
Giraffe

What is your favorite food?
Sashimi

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I want to run around the world. Impossible to pick one place.

“It will pass.”
