This study at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences/National Institutes of Health is investigating how the environment and genes affect a women’s risk of developing breast cancer. The researchers were looking to enroll at least 5,000 volunteers. The Call to Action for this study was sent to Army of Women members on October 28, 2008. The researchers were able to close enrollment on April 30, 2009, after the Army of Women helped them reach their enrollment goal.
