Study Review

The purpose of this study was to learn about the thoughts, experiences, and feelings that people have after completing breast cancer treatment. The findings from this survey may help researchers understand why some breast cancer survivors are more likely to participate in, and benefit from, survivorship self-care than others.

The researchers turned to the Army of Women (AOW) to enroll up to 300 volunteers across the United States. The Call to Action for this study was sent to AOW members on June 13, 2018. The researchers closed enrollment 26 days later, on July 9, 2018, after the AOW provided them with 245 volunteers who were interested in enrolling in the study.

Love Research Army

We combat the disparities that exist in research by challenging the scientific community to launch studies that are as inclusive and diverse as the people that breast cancer affects.
