Study Review

The purpose of this study was to evaluate an iPad test called the Mobile Cognitive Assessment Battery or MCAB. This test evaluated memory, attention, processing speed, and verbal skills in breast cancer survivors between the ages of 21 and 60. The researchers wanted to learn what survivors thought about the test, its ease of use, and what happens when patients take the test more than once. The researchers turned to the Army of Women (AOW) to enroll up to 15 volunteers in Houston, Texas. The Call to Action for this study was sent to AOW members on December 6, 2017. The researchers closed enrollment on March 13, 2018, after the AOW provided them with 21 women who were interested in enrolling in the study.

Love Research Army

We combat the disparities that exist in research by challenging the scientific community to launch studies that are as inclusive and diverse as the people that breast cancer affects.
