The Moraloppet Ski for the Cause annual charity skiing race was held on February 3rd at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center in Mora, MN. A total of $3,665 was raised for Dr. Susan Love Foundation for Breast Cancer Research this year, bringing their total donations to the Foundation to over $10,000!
Sally Ahlgren’s ‘Team Celebrate’ took first place, raising $2,290. The race had a snowy start this year and offered 10K and 20K races, as well as a 5K tour. The Moraloppet Ski for the Cause is part of Vasaloppet USA, an organization that promotes cross country skiing for all ages and skill-levels and hosts the annual Vasaloppet ski race in February.
It was a fun and successful day, with awards given to the top skiers and top donors.
