Study Information
Breast Cancer, Uterine Cancer, and YOU Study

The purpose of this study at the University of Louisville Brown Cancer Center, in Kentucky, is to develop a tool that can determine whether a woman who has had breast cancer is at high risk of developing uterine cancer. The research team used an online survey to identify factors that are associated with developing uterine cancer after breast cancer. The researchers wanted to enroll up to 10,000 volunteers. The Call to Action for this study was sent to Love Research Army members on February 9, 2012. The researchers were able to close enrollment on August 31, 2012, after the Love Research Army provided them with 7,660 women who were interested in enrolling in the study.

We combat the disparities that exist in research by challenging the scientific community to launch studies that are as inclusive and diverse as the people that breast cancer affects.
