March 1 marks the start of National Women’s History Month. At the Dr. Susan Love Foundation, I often feel as though I’m witnessing firsthand, as so many strong women come together to conduct groundbreaking research and make history in the breast cancer medical field.
Few can rival our leader, Dr. Susan Love, an American surgeon, advocate, and author who has dedicated her professional life to ending breast cancer. Her passion and tenacity have led to some of the world’s most innovative research within the field, and she has been an absolute inspiration to anyone whose life has been touched by the disease. Her work at the Foundation is supported by 3 amazing female doctors: Dr. Stephanie Graff and Dr. Lauren Green, in the United States, and Dr. Ana Lilia Lopez, the driving force of our Self-Reading Portable Ultrasound study in Guadalajara, Mexico.
As social media coordinator for the Foundation, I get to highlight the research all of these amazing women do. To mark National Women’s History Month, every Wednesday we will be introducing an amazing woman each week as our #womancrushwednesday. So watch our social media channels to help us highlight their achievements and honor their hard work. They are making history.
